Ahead of an opening league game against Worthing on September 2, North Walsham Vikings Rugby Club have a pre-season friendly versus Shelford at Scottow this Saturday - August 19, with kick off at 3pm.
The exact format of the match has yet to be decided, but both sides will have squads of around 35 and be giving everyone some game time.
There have been many changes in the Vikings’ squad, and this will be the first opportunity for supporters to see the newcomers in action.
And after a gap of a couple of years, the club’s popular summer camp is returning.
Assisted by Vikings players and coaches, new director of rugby Niall Lear will be leading a pre-season camp from Tuesday August 29 to August 31.
The camp is for Year 7–11 (academic year 2023 – 24) students and will run 10am to 3pm each day.
The camp is to both sexes the cost is £60 or £25 a day.
All levels of rugby experience will be catered for.
