A playing field pavilion could be transformed into a community hub and café in a coastal village.

The pavilion at the playing field on North Walsham Road in Bacton could be utilised as a community hub and café.

A pre-application for the project was submitted by Bacton and Edingthorpe Parish Council and has gained support from North Norfolk District Council, subject to conditions.

The pavilion would also provide additional disabled toilet facilities to the site.

The North Norfolk District Council response to the application states: "If a formal application was submitted it would receive officer support.

It added it will be important for the submission to contain the appropriate plans and elevations drawings, as well as having regard to the relevant planning policies.
