Norfolk's poshest village is set to attract even more Londoners after a national newspaper has named it among the best for a weekend trip.

Burnham Market has been dubbed various different titles but its nickname "Chelsea-on-sea" may be cemented after The Times has advertised it as one of the best trips for Londoners.

Locals have embarked on a fierce debate in recent years with second homes becoming a common sight in the village.

Only two hours and 20 minutes away from the capital, and with plenty of holiday lets, this has caused house prices to soar and priced many people out of their own village

Last year locals voted to limit the number of second homes in the village, although some businesses welcome the visitors and claim the area would die without holiday lets.

Despite this, the charm of the quintessential north Norfolk village remains, with a picturesque high street and spectacular beaches nearby.

For a village of its size, Burnham Market has a buzzing and vibrant food scene and is home to some of the best restaurants Norfolk has to offer - with Socius and No.Twenty9 particular standouts.
