A care home has been officially blessed by a priest.
King's Court Care Home, on Hempstead Road, Holt, welcomed Father Howard Stoker of the Parish Church of St Andrew the Apostle, Holt, and All Saints, High Kelling to the home.
The blessing was carried out to mark six months since the care home opened.
Father Howard said: “It’s been over 30 years since I was ordained and I have blessed many homes over the years but King’s Court is the first Care Home.
"I was delighted to be invited to proceed over the blessing and also residents who requested individual room blessings too."
The blessing included a reading, prayers, and hymns, followed by refreshments for all attendees.
Manager Tracey Curson said: “This is truly a day for us all here at King’s Court to remember.
"There were tears of happiness shed and this moment will be sure to be remembered for many years to come"
The care home, which specialises in residential, dementia, and nursing care, is set to hold an open day on October 26 between 10am and 4pm.
