1. Norfolk Restaurant Week

When: November 4-8, 11-15

Norfolk Restaurant Week returns in November with around 60 participating venues.

They will all offer great value set menus, which will work out at least 20pc cheaper than the regular price.

2. Norfolk Festive Gift and Food Show

Where: Norfolk Showground, Dereham Road, New Costessey, NR5 0TT

When: November 8-10, 9.30am-4pm

This huge three-day Christmas market will feature more than 250 stalls.

Visitors can expect plenty of gifts, decorations, festive food and drink and much more.

3. Thursford Christmas Spectacular

Where: Thursford Collection, Thursford, NR21 0AS

The Thursford Christmas Spectacular returns for its 47th production over the festive period.

Expect an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety at Norfolk's largest festive show. 

You can also book for the Enchanted Journey of Light and Santa's Magical Journey.

4. Norwich Film Festival

Where: Various venues in Norwich

When: November 11-24

The diverse and vibrant programme will centre around the NFF 2024 'Official Selection'—137 short films by independent filmmakers presented across 19 screenings. 

A new element for the 2024 season is a series of experience-based feature-length films.

This includes Shakespeare in Love, partially shot at the Holkham Estate, at Cinema City featuring a Q&A with its Oscar-winning director John Madden.

5. Birdsong

Where: Norwich Theatre Royal, Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RL

When: November 12-16

Adapted from Sebastian Faulks' bestselling 1993 novel, this play tells the story of one man’s journey through an all-consuming love affair and into the horror of the First World War.

The show stars Max Bowden as Jack Firebrace, who is best known for playing Ben Mitchell in EastEnders.

6. Norfolk Lights Express

Where: North Norfolk Railway, Station Approach, Sheringham, NR26 8RA

When: Select dates from November 15-January 4

Visitors will arrive after dark at Sheringham Station and be greeted by the magical sight of a steam-hauled train illuminated by thousands of tiny lights.

The onboard lights will shine onto the scenery in a series of changing colours.

During the 5.5-mile journey to Holt, passengers will pass around 10 colourful displays telling the story of the changing seasons.

7. Luminate

Where: Royal Parkland, Sandringham Estate, PE35 6EH

When: November 21-December 24, entry slots between 4.30pm and 8pm

This mile-long trail will feature stunning light elements and interactive light play all set to music.

Enjoy vintage fairground rides and festive food and drink for an additional charge. 

New for this year, there are dog days on December 2 and 9 - only guide and assistance dogs are allowed on the other dates.
