A variety show is being staged to help a theatre raise funds.

The group of performers, consisting of mainly professional actors and singers, all have a link to Sheringham Little Theatre and will come together for the fundraiser on October 26.

The show, which will start at 7.30pm, is the brainchild of Norfolk actress Meg Artherton, who has graced the theatre's stage in numerous summer dramas.

She said: “It sprung from a cast sing-along session at the end of this year’s summer season – and we said ‘we should do a show'.

“Rallying a cast of people who love the Little Theatre to lend their voices to a fundraiser was not difficult.

"They were all very keen to help.”

The show promises a mix of musical theatre numbers, comedy, and surprise acts.

Performers will include young actors Lewes Roberts, Oliver Westlake, and Megan Brice who will perform songs from the likes of Les Miserables and Oliver!.

Loraine Metcalfe, another familiar face from the summer season, will perform some of Joyce Grenfell's comedy monologues.
