Plans to transform a former bed and breakfast in a seaside town into five new townhouses are being considered by the North Norfolk Council.
The plans propose the demolition of current "unsympathetic and incongruous extensions of no architectural or heritage merit" of a property close to the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea.
Planning consent was previously granted to convert Mill House on Northfield Lane into a mix of one and two-bedroom flats.

It was proposed that the flats would be offered to army veterans, or as short term lets through a charity, however this never happened and the property was unsuccessfully marketed.
A planning document states that there was "a lack of interest" in the flats.
The proposed new development aims to allow for the preservation and repurposing of the historic building, whilst making it more marketable and improving the site within its local context.
