A pub with rooms on the Norfolk coast has reopened with a new look and dining concept.

East Anglian hospitality group Chestnut acquired The Chequers in Thornham in April.

It reopened in July with couple Joe Outram and Emma Collison at the helm.

The refreshed décor draws inspiration from the Norfolk countryside, combining rustic charm with contemporary artwork and cosy nooks.

The couple said: "We are thrilled to have reopened The Chequers and to provide a diverse, year-round dining experience.

"Whether it is street food vendors in the summer or supper clubs and chef residencies in the winter, our focus is on variety."

It will showcase 10 local beers on tap, with Askers Pizza on Friday and Saturday and Run Street Food across the weekend.

A Brancaster Gin pop-up will also be there on September 27 from 5pm to 8pm.
