Norfolk Police were called to an incident in a Norfolk village on Tuesday evening and officers and ambulance services remain at the scene a day later.
Officers were sent to a property along Norwich Road in Marsham, near Aylsham, at around 7.15pm on Tuesday.
Four ambulances were spotted parked in Mill Road, near the incident, with another ambulance parked at Norwich Road.
An incident response unit, a dog unit and a drone unit are also said to be seen in the area.
Witnesses say officers have set up a cordon opposite the entrance to Allison Street.
A spokesman for Norfolk Police said: "Concerns were raised for the safety of a man living at the address.
"This has resulted in a number of police resources being deployed, who remain at the scene."
No arrests have been made and the ambulance service is also in attendance.
