A swimming academy is celebrating becoming an STA Swim Star member.
In Aylsham, aspiring swimmers can now receive high-quality teaching as Aylsham Swim Academy has signed up for the STA Swim Star programme.
This programme was formulated by the Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) to aid private swim schools in maintaining the highest standards in learning, safety, and customer service.
By commitment to this programme, Aylsham Swim Academy, which conducts lessons at the Aylsham Sports Hub, has promised to uphold excellent standards through the International Learn to Swim Programme.

Zoe Cooper, commercial director at STA, honoured the academy's commitment to the programme.
She said: “There are many excellent independent swim schools across the country but those signing up to our scheme, like Aylsham Swim Academy, are providing extra assurance to their customers of their commitment to maintaining the highest of standards in teaching.”
The STA mark accreditation is a minimum requirement for independent swim schools to gain STA Swim Star status.
This accreditation, she explained, is an external system that signifies that a swim school has shown understanding across all key health and safety aspects related to running a swim school.
Additionally, STA requests schools sign a two-year service agreement committing to its International Learn to Swim Programme.

Laura Killington, manager of Aylsham Swim Academy, voiced her satisfaction on receiving the STA mark.
She said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the STA mark, and look forward to Aylsham Swim Academy continuing to play a key role in supporting the swimming of so many children in the local area.”
Permitted schools on the programme gain the privilege to advertise their Swim Star status using a variety of STA's marketing tools.
