A north Norfolk National Trust site has been named one of the UK's best picnic spots.

Sheringham Park has been included in The Telegraph's ranking of the 26 best places to go for a picnic across the country.

The park sits on a 1,000-acre plot filled with woodland, parkland and clifftop.

The grounds surround the historic Sheringham Hall and were designed by Humphry Repton for the Upcher family in the early 19th century.

The Telegraph praised the diversity of the area and its location being just a short drive from Sheringham beach.

The article also suggested guests travelling to the park stay overnight at The Gunton Arms which is around 20 minutes away by car.

Sheringham Park is free to enter but parking costs £6.50 per car.

Dogs are welcome everywhere except the Bower Garden and must be kept on a lead between March 1 and July 31 to protect nesting birds.
