A north Norfolk tennis and squash club is offering free coaching for young members.
Cromer Lawn Tennis and Squash Club is offering four hours of free coaching each week to its junior members as part of its drive to get more youngsters to join the club in 2024.
The club, based in Norwich Road, is home to ten grass tennis courts, four all-weather tennis hard courts, four pickleball courts, two squash courts and several indoor and outdoor table tennis tables.
It has been offering 15-month junior memberships (from January 1 to March 31, 2025) – costing just £30 for children up to 11 years old, and £60 for youngsters aged 12 to 17.
Junior members will be entitled to four hours of coach supervised sport each week as part of the Junior Club, with all equipment provided.
Kelvin van Hasselt, club chairman, said: “Junior Club is a great opportunity for children to learn skills for life – as the earlier you start racquet sports the better.
“Just by playing, children improve by leaps and bounds each week and our coaches here at the club make it enormous fun for children.
“For some children it is the highlight of their week.”
