Work is underway to transform Black Swan Loke in North Walsham into public open space.
The works are part of the £4 million North Walsham High Street Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) project to regenerate the town centre.
The works, which are set to be completed by the end of March next year, will improve access to the Bank Loke car park and create a public open space similar in design to Church Approach.

The wall dividing the Loke and the car park has already been knocked down and work will begin in the New Year to create a sloped resin walkway and soft planting garden areas, with a new cladding feature on the far wall.
A new mosaic will be installed on the wall, which will be designed with suggestions from North Walsham residents and unveiled upon the completion of the works.
Contractors are using recycled or upcycled materials from previous works in North Walsham, as well as timbers removed from Cromer Pier, which will be used to make the cladded wall.
Disabled parking bays next to the removed wall have been temporarily closed off, but there are five disabled bays located on the other side of the car park.
