All vestiges of one of North Walsham’s banks are to be removed.
Lloyds has applied to North Norfolk District Council to remove all furniture, machinery and signage from its branch 18-19 Market Place, which is due to close on May 29 next year.
The works will involve removing the external signage, banding and ATMs at the Grade-II listed building.
Furniture will be removed from the ground floor meeting hall and meeting rooms, further meeting rooms and offices on the upper floors, and the storage rooms in the basement.
Lloyds had planned to shut the North Walsham branch on November 17, but then they decided to delay the closure. After the closure, the company says a "community banker" will visit the town weekly to offer face-to-face support.
It is not clear what the building will be used for in the future.
Lloyds also closed its Cromer branch on October 25.
The Lloyds Banking Group made a pre-tax profit of £5.4 billion for the first nine months of 2023, 20pc higher than the same period in 2022.
