A week of family fun at the beach is returning to a north Norfolk town this summer.
BeachLife is a free annual event in Sheringham, organised by the town’s churches.
It has been running summer activity weeks for families since 2012, promising four days of games and challenges on the clifftop and beach.
Running from Tuesday, August 29, to Friday, September 1, each day of BeachLife will get underway at 10.30am with the ‘Beach Special’ at the clifftop marquee on the Leas.

This will include a variety of fun challenges, music and drama – with the losers facing a dip in the gunge tank.
The opening day on Tuesday, August 29, will feature a treasure trail around the town and sea front, followed by a family quiz in the evening.
Then the Wednesday will see giant inflatables fill the Leas and parachute games with the ‘egg parachute’.
Beach games and sports will be played during low tide on Thursday, August 31 with a ‘tide fight’ in the afternoon to see which family’s flag can survive the incoming waves the longest.

The ‘Sherpoly’ youth trail around Sheringham will take place that evening, starting from Lighthouse Community Church.
Friday’s finale on September 1 will close the event with a grand family picnic and beach special.
Pete Skivington, BeachLife’s organiser, said: “This is a great opportunity for the churches in Sheringham to get together to provide an exciting fun-packed week for local families and young people, as well as the holidaymakers who come along and join in.
“In the midst of all the activities, we want the youngsters to engage with Jesus, and realise how he can transform their lives.”
