Here are seven of the best pubs to visit on the Norfolk Broads.
1. Rising Sun
Where: 28 Wroxham Road, Coltishall, Norwich, NR12 7EA
Sat on the River Bure, the Rising Sun has views over the marshland beyond in the picturesque village of Coltishall.
The Rising Sun is a Colchester Inns pub, famed for its large portions of locally sourced pub classics. The family have also recently taken over the Salhouse Lodge.
Its good food, good views and a good local drinkers' pub.
2. Ferry Inn
Where: The Green, Stokesby, Great Yarmouth, NR29 3EX
Open daily, the huge menu features a collection of pub classics, from steak and ale pie, ham, egg and chips, ribs and scampi. There is also a vast burger menu, salads and sandwiches, as well as plenty of vegan options and a children's menu.
If you are staying on a boat this summer, you can moor up directly outside the pub.
3. Acle Bridge Inn
Where: Acle Bridge, Acle, Norwich NR13 3AS
This dog-friendly pub in east Norfolk sits next to a bridge on the River Bure and overlooking the water. The menu has pub classics, pasta, salads and more.
There are plenty of moorings available for those in boats, whether it be for a day trip or overnight stays.
4. Water's Edge
Where: Mill Hill, Bramerton, NR14 7ED
The 17th-century riverside inn serves modern gastropub food, including a Sunday roast.
Sat with a view over the water as its namesake suggests, the pub prides itself on its fresh food from local suppliers.
The menu features meat dishes, steaks, seafood, bar food and salads, with a few vegetarian and vegan options.
5. The Lion
Where: The St, Thurne, Great Yarmouth, NR29 3AP
This pub is the perfect summer spot, boasting views of the Norfolk Broads from its huge beer garden.

6. The Boathouse
Where: Ormesby Broad, Eels Foot Road, Ormesby St Margaret, NR29 3LP
The Boathouse is a wedding venue and destination pub or restaurant in the heart of the Broads.
The owners also run The Waterside, a restaurant and boat trip venue on neighbouring Rollesby Broad.
The Boathouse also offers six double en suite bedrooms as well as two three-bedroom lodges in the grounds.
7. Rushcutters Arms
Where: Yarmouth Road, Norwich, NR7 0HE
Located in Thorpe St Andrew on the outskirts of Norwich, the Rushcutters sits on the banks of the River Yare.
The Grade II listed pub offers a warm and cosy atmosphere inside and pleasant views across the river from its large garden.
