Red flags warning people not to swim at Mundesley beach have been removed after what was the tenth sewage overflow incident across north Norfolk's beaches so far this year.
People were warned to avoid swimming in the water at Mudesley beach earlier this week after sewage overflow systems were triggered at Anglian Water on Monday (July 17).
Anglian Water has now confirmed the water quality is back to normal after being contaminated on Monday, which was caused by heavy rain activating its sewage overflow systems.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “On July 17 our storm overflow on Paston Road activated following very heavy rainfall. The overflow lasted only a few minutes and operated as it should to protect homes and businesses from flooding in Mundesley.
"Even though any impact was brief, it generated a Beach Alert from us, which is what led NNDC to issue temporary warning against bathing."
