Classical harmonies will fill Blakeney’s church in the final performance of a summer concert series.
The Five Churches Festival draws to a close on Saturday, July 29, with a performance by violinist Madeleine Mitchell, mezzo-soprano Susannah Self and pianist Brenda Blewett.
Concerts have already taken place at Glaven Valley churches in Cley, Letheringsett, and at the village green in Wiveton.
Mrs Blewett curated the festival, which also featured actor Jeremy Northam in an evening of poetry and music at Gladford church.
She said: “It’s lovely to be able to bring music into the churches. There are lots of musicians and artists and people interested in the arts here - it’s such a creative, vibrant area.
“My husband is the rector of the five churches, and this was an idea I had even before we moved here four years ago. Then Covid happened and for a while, it wasn’t a possibility, and this year I thought was the moment to give it a go.”
The final ‘festival encore’ performance, called French Connections 2 - will be on 7pm-8pm at Blakeney church. It will feature works by Ravel, Berlioz, Delius and world premieres composed by Ms Self.
