Plans to build a new 3G artificial football pitch in Aylsham have been given the green light.
The pitch will be at Youngs Park, off Cawston Road, and will replace one of the site’s existing grass football pitches.
The 3G synthetic turf pitch will be floodlit and surrounded by a walkway area and perimeter fence.
The Youngs Community Sports Trust submitted the application to Broadland District Council in May this year, with the plans being approved on July 11.
The playing field currently has 11 natural grass pitches of varying sizes.

Use of the floodlit pitch will be restricted to the hours of 8am to 10pm.
Work to build the pitch must begin within the next three years.
