A spectacular new bell is being unveiled in a special ceremony at Happisburgh beach in north Norfolk this weekend.
The 'time and tide' bell - which will be known as the Spirit of Happisburgh - will be officially unveiled at an event on the beach this Sunday (July 9), at 11am.

It will take place on a section of beach between the ramp and Cart Gap Road.
It is one of a string of time and tide bells being installed across the Great British coast.
Nicolas Crane, from the BBC programme Coast, will get the event under way with a few opening words, followed by an address by the sculptor of the bell and creator of its timber frame, Marcus Vergette.

Local poet Kevin Crossley-Holland, who composed the wording that will feature on the bell, will then give a speech about the new landmark and the north Norfolk coast.
The wording on the bell reads: ‘Swirling tides swing me; Your words ring me; My tongue sings me’.
Children from Happisburgh Primary School have painted flags for the beach, and there will be a band playing live music.
