A north Norfolk fragrance shop has been named the best lifestyle store in the county by popular lifestyle guide Muddy Stilettos.
The Scented Barn, in Holt, which is owned by 23-year-old Hannah Clark, from Wood Dalling, was one of 27 Norfolk businesses to receive an award in the guide’s public-voted 2023 list.

Miss Clark established The Scented Barn in 2020 during the pandemic, selling scented candles, hand-poured wax melts and other items online and at pop-up events.
She opened her store in Hoppers Yard in March this year where her business has gone from strength to strength - now stocking more than 150 different scents.
“I was ecstatic to hear that my business had achieved an award in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2023,” Miss Clark, who founded The Scented Barn aged 20, said.
“To call The Scented Barn the best lifestyle store in Norfolk is still very surreal and something I had only dreamt of.
“It wouldn’t be possible without all my wonderful family and friends and all our supporting customers for getting us to where we are today: they are all as much a part of this award as I am."

All of her products including home mists, diffusers and an aromatherapy range are vegan and made using soy wax, which is eco-friendly and
bio-degradable.
“Since opening the shop three months ago, we have grown and grown. Having the shop is already the dream and more," Ms Clark added.
“Our products are flying off the shelves quicker than I can make them. It’s more than I could have imagined.”
The other north Norfolk businesses honoured in the awards were Aylsham's Maná Art (for best art gallery), Byfords in Holt (for best boutique stay), the Recruiting Sergeant in Horstead (for best destination pub), Flower Folk in Reepham (for best florist) and the Makers Gallery in Holt (for best new lifestyle startup).
