North Walsham's bridges have caught out another driver after a lorry crashed into a railway bridge on Norwich Road on Monday (May 22).
The heavy goods vehicle collided with the bridge near Station Road at around 7.40am, despite signs warning the driver of the bridge's 3.9-metre maximum height for vehicles passing beneath.
It's the latest crash in a series of scrapes and collisions with North Walsham's railway bridges - such as the Cherry Tree Lane and Cromer Road bridges - which regularly catch out drivers of larger vehicles.
It caused significant damage to the trailer of the lorry, which temporarly blocked the road.
Police attended the scene, with the incident leading to heavy traffic in both directions.
It also blocked the North Walsham rail line between Norwich and Sheringham, causing cancellations to Greater Anglia services.
A Greater Anglia spokesperson said: “We are sorry for the disruption between Norwich and Sheringham this morning.
“This was due to a vehicle hitting a bridge in the North Walsham area at 07.40am today.
“Rail replacement buses were in operation while Network Rail inspected the bridge and the line re-opened at 08.50am.
“There have been some knock-on delays and cancellations, but services were back to normal from 10.40am.”
Starlings Transport were approached for comment but declined.
