The initial verdict is in on the offerings at a new seafood restaurant on the north Norfolk coast.
The Fishmongers’ Tavern in Cromer Road, Sheringham, opened on March 31 with much fanfare.
Matt Hagon from CA Seafoods, the business which owns the restaurant, said: “The opening night went really well.
“We had some really positive comments and great feedback.
“People have been posting the meals that they had on social media, saying that they thoroughly enjoyed their meal and that they would come back again.”

Mr Hagon said the opening night drew 150-200 friends, family and people from the Sheringham business community.
A five-course ‘taster menu’ on Saturday, and a Sunday lunch then followed, with each drawing 50-60 guests.
Mr Hagon said: “It’s great to get to this point after all the work that has been put into it since we acquired the building in August last year.

"We’re hoping to keep welcoming locals into the building, and tourists as well as they start arriving through the year.”
The restaurant, in the former Dunstable Arms building, is offering its taster menu until April 13, before it will switch to lunch, à la carte and Sunday menus.
