A monthly cabaret show is set to serve up a cocktail of comedy, song, burlesque, dance and drag divas.

The Big Night Out at Sheringham Little Theatre will be hosted by Kenny Moore - better known as drag artist Ms Special K.

He said the performances will aim to put a new twist on a traditional variety show.

Mr Moore said: “Although I am hosting in drag, the acts will be real mix of new talent and popular established artists including dancers, and singers performing everything from pop to opera.

Mr Moore and Chris Ewens-Nicoll have previously run similar shows as a duo called The Squirrels.

In 2018 they made it through to the 'six chair challenge' on the X Factor which included singing a Robbie Williams medley. But work has now taken them in different directions.

Mr Moore said: “Our individual professional lives got so busy we have had to split – amicably – early this year, but I was keen to keep the shows going as they went down so well at Sheringham and St George’s Theatre at Great Yarmouth last year.”

After leaving the Hewett School in Norwich, Mr Moore went into showbiz as a teenager as a dancer in a touring Forever Elvis show.

He said: “It began as a one-off hosting a Pride event 20 years ago, but it really took off.”

Mr Moore also works in the Lady B Loves vintage fashion store in Norwich, helping style customers and making prom dresses and costumes.

The shows will take place on April 22, May 6, June 17, July 7, August 20 and September 9, and will include feature acts such as Happy B’s burlesque dance trio and vocalist Sadie; vocalist Prince Jay and drag queen Baby Lisxous with her dancers; and new drag act Dusty Rose and Joshua Johnson and his Jersey Boiz singers.
