Live theatre is returning to Sharrington Village Hall for the first time in more than 30 years.

Sheringham-based amateur theatre company Stage Direct is putting on a show called  Deckchairs - written by Jean McConnell - on Saturday, April 15.

The show is part of 70th anniversary celebrations for the hall, which is about four miles west of Holt.

Nigel Manson, the show's director, said he was delighted to be able to bring am dram back to the village.

He said: “Deckchairs is a delicious concoction of stories, some funny, some moving but all poignant.

"It is presented across five playlets, all set in deckchairs.”

Mr Mason said the show had a successful run at Sheringham Little Theatre in early March. 

He added: “The audience reaction was fantastic, so much so, we can’t wait to bring this lovely piece of theatre to Sharrington.”

Tickets are £10 and are available online via www.ticketsource.co.uk/stage-direct or on the door from 6.30pm on the night itself, the show starts at 7.30pm.
