Shade and power will be generated by a new solar car port planned for The Reef leisure centre in Sheringham.
The centre’s owner, North Norfolk District Council, plans to install a two-bay car port with a roof covered in solar panels.
Nigel Lloyd, the district council’s environment portfolio holder, said: “Introducing innovative measures to our assets is a vital step towards our net zero ambitions.
“The solar car ports are a fantastic concept, utilising existing public space with the opportunity to use renewable energy to power the surrounding assets.”
