A German television crew is about to descend on Wells-next-the-Sea for a screening of a documentary made by a Berlin filmmaker.
ZDF, Germany's most-watched TV station, is planning to report on the reception of the film Seaside Special, which looks at the Cromer Pier Christmas Show amid the backdrop of the heated Brexit negotiations of 2019.
Jens Maurer, who made the film he describes as a "love letter to Great Britain", said ZDF's report would also hopefully feature the wider north Norfolk region.
Mr Maurer said: "The German crew is travelling all the way out there to show something going on - in this case a German film about something very beautiful and very British, Cromer Pier - bringing audiences together, in a good way, in the UK."
The crew will report on a screening of Seaside Special at the Wells Maltings on Tuesday, January 17 at 7pm.
Tickets are £6 and can be booked online at www.wellsmaltings.org.uk/events/seaside-special-launch-screening
