Sheringham's Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre is inviting local families to take time out to swim together, by offering free weekly waterslide and waves sessions until after Christmas.
Splash general manager Stephen Mews said the sessions, which will run every Friday from 7pm-8pm until January 28, aimed to help people on low incomes, or those who struggled to fit staying active around the demands of work and family.
'What we want to do is to reach out to people who perhaps can't afford to come along, but also to help families to make time and space to get together and enjoy swimming,' he explained.
'We feel swimming should be accessible to the whole community and, by running the free sessions, we hope to encourage more children to learn to swim, which is a vital skill, especially living so close to the sea.'
