The first all-electric holiday home in East Anglia has been unveiled in north Norfolk.

The Willerby All-E Dorchester model - which offers sustainable staycations for eco-conscious holidaymakers - is located at Pinewoods Holiday Park in Wells.

Holiday home manufacturer Willerby launched its All-E all-electric holiday home specification last September and models are now being located at parks across the UK.

Called the e-Lakeside Luxe, the eco holiday home is currently the only one of its kind in East Anglia.

The Willerby All-E system uses intelligent technology to monitor and optimise electricity usage at all times, to avoid the supply being exceeded.

It offers two bedrooms and sleeps up to six people, with an open-plan living room and modern kitchen space, a master bedroom boasting a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.

There is an electric vehicle charger on an allocated hard standing parking bay, where up to two cars can be parked, as well as an electric barbeque.

Darren Williams, general manager at Pinewoods, said: “One of the biggest challenges we faced on our journey to move away from a reliance on fossil fuels as a source of heating and hot water provision, in order to achieve our ambition of being carbon negative by 2040, was finding a solution that could be supported by the existing electrical infrastructure.

“Willerby has done exactly that with the All-E, which can replace existing gas-powered holiday homes on parks across the UK.

“We’re absolutely delighted to now be able to offer a fossil fuel-free holiday here at Pinewoods in the e-Lakeside Luxe, which will undoubtedly be extremely popular with our guests.”

Pinewoods is part of the Holkham estate, which committed to become carbon negative by 2040.
