An author-illustrator has brought a splash of colour to a Norfolk market town with her new shop and studio.
Kate Read recently opened One Fox at 5 Red Lion Street in Aylsham and it sells gifts, books, toys, cards, prints and more.
It is named after her award-winning picture book One Fox – A Counting Book Thriller and her full range is available to buy in the store.

This includes her two press-out books about nature in conjunction with The National Trust, titled Birds of a Feather and Butterfly Skies.
Alongside this are books and other items from makers and illustrators from Norfolk and beyond.
The gifts include ceramics, socks and tea towels and she also sells Cambridge Imprint wrapping paper.

Ms Read said: "I was working from home and I loved it but I really missed chatting with people.
"I wanted a studio space away from my house and somewhere I could showcase all the lovely work from illustrators I know.
"One Fox is a small, friendly and independent shop that sells illustrated goods for all ages."
The shop space is on the ground floor and she works in a studio above.
Ms Read added: "The reaction so far has been really good with lots of friendly customers.

"Aylsham is a place that supports independents and there have been a lot of recent openings here - the town has a really nice energy."
